Nyakarenzo Washing Station is near Lake Kivu, where many coffees from DR Congo and Burundi are also produced. It's a smaller micro-lot focused washing station, and we're quite thrilled with the quality of this coffee. Why did we label this natural processed coffee as 'Balanced'? It's not as fruit-bomb or floral as many of the Naturals we serve. It still has layers of depth without much fermentation flavor, and in blind-tastings it has a flavor profile reminiscent of a good washed Colombia. If you think 'you don't like naturals' this may be an exception!
