Coffee has often been accompanied by a sense of vellichor. Maybe, like us, you’ve spent endless hours with mugs and old books. We’ve found that good coffee can bring ideas and people together with a unique warmth and comfort like nothing else can.
So we source, roast, package and serve coffee to facilitate those moments in your life.
Roasting Details
We are currently roasting weekly on Wednesday mornings at our shared roasting facility in Denver, Colorado, completing all shipping and delivery by end-of-day Thursday. We roast on small-batch 1.5 kilo and 10 kilo Proasters. (We only roast about 15 lbs of green coffee at a time!)
Our single-origin coffees are generally considered 'third-wave light roast'. Our aim is well-developed flavor where we can maximize the sweetness of the coffees we serve, without masking our coffees in too much 'roast' flavor. We find our coffees start to taste fantastic two days after roasting and stay vibrant for over a month under ideal storage conditions.
Vellichor Coffee Roasters (Est 2024. Kinda.)
In 2021, we started roasting coffee for Bean Fosters, our used-book-filled coffee shops in Golden and Littleton Colorado. Vellichor Coffee Roasters was founded in 2024 so that we could offer craft coffee to all books-and-coffee-people nation-wide through online shipping sales and business-to-business sales.
Both trade names are founded, owned and operated by Truett, and several of our Bean Fosters employees are on the Vellichor roasting and fulfillment team.
