Whereas our most popular Levity Blend is bright, uplifting and frivolous, Intensity Blend is it's darker-roasted, heavy and rich counterpart. This full-bodied coffee tastes like Dark Chocolate and Baked Brown Sugar, and is suitable for a rich home espresso, and as a full-tasting, every-morning coffee too.
Intensity Blend is currently 100% El Bombo Mujeres Organic: a women-produced lot, supporting gender-equity in coffee growing, from the El Bombo co-op in Colombia, whom we've purchased from many times. We use the term 'Organically Grown' because this green coffee is certified organic, but our roasting warehouse is not certified.
For the coffee roasting nerds: We drop this coffee from the roaster just before 'second-crack', where coffees become brittle and begin to appear particularly dark and oily. There are certainly darker roasts out there, but right now this is as far as we go.
