Located on the lush hills of Bona Zuria district in the village of Bombe, Abore Washing Station is well-known for elevating the distinct flavor profile of the Sidamo terroir. For this Natural lot, expect a berry-forward profile, complemented by citrus acidity and a delicate sweetness.
Abore Washing Station is named after a bridge dedicated to a local chief. Managed by Asefa Dukamo Korma of Daye Bensa Coffee, the station works with over 1,000 smallholder farmers, many of whom are from the nearby Bombe Village. Daye Bensa has built an extensive sourcing and processing network that includes dozens of washing stations, dry mills and thousands of farming partners. The company has become particularly well known for its focus on quality and traceability, earning repeated recognition in Ethiopia’s Cup of Excellence competition, including award-winning lots from Hamasho and Shantawene.
